Sean Scanlon – Chairperson
Sean is the Chief Executive Officer of the Diocese and has been the Diocesan Financial Administrator since 2010. Sean has over 25 years of financial, management and legal experience including 10 years’ experience in investment banking across Australia, Tokyo, London and Moscow. Sean is a Responsible Manager of the Australian Financial Services Licensee.
Sean is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Fellow of the College of Law, Lawyer on the Record – Member of the Law Society of NSW, Admitted to Supreme Court of NSW and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Sean was appointed to the CDFMN AFSL Limited Board in November 2017.

Father Andrew Doohan
Father Andrew was ordained priest for the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle in 2007 and served as a member of the College of Consultors and the Trustees of the Diocese from 2012 to August 2023.
Currently, Father Andrew is the Parish Priest of Dungog & Gresford. He has previously served as Rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral and in the parishes of Inner Newcastle, Forster Tuncurry, Singleton, and Raymond Terrace. He also served as Vicar General to Bishop Bill Wright.
Father Andrew is a member of the Human Research Ethics Committee at the University of Newcastle. He was appointed to the CDFMN AFSL Limited Board in January 2019.

Anne Campbell
Anne is the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Catholic Community Fund Office Manager. She has worked for the Catholic Community Fund for over 18 years. Anne is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Catholic Community Fund office and customer service. Prior to joining the Catholic Community Fund team Anne spent over 18 years working in the banking sector and her experience includes supervisory customer service roles. Anne is a Responsible Manager of the Australian Financial Services Licensee.
Anne was appointed to the CDFMN AFSL Limited Board in November 2017.
Jenny Chung
Jenny is the Executive Director & Fund Manager of the Catholic Community Fund. Jenny has over 25 years experience in the financial services, chartered accounting and not-for-profit sectors.
Jenny is a Responsible Manager of the Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFSL). She also acts as the AFSL Compliance Officer for the Fund responsible for ensuring the fund meets its statutory and compliance obligations including the obligations associated with the AFSL.
Jenny was appointed to the CDFMN AFSL Limited Board in July 2022. Jenny is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

CDPF Limited, a company established by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, has indemnified the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Catholic Development Fund for the Catholic Community Fund ABN 59 728 447 508 (Fund) against any liability arising out of a claim by investors in the Fund. In practice, this means your investment is backed by the assets of the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese. Money invested with the Fund is used to support the charitable works of the Catholic Church. This is achieved by providing a return on your investment that enables us to provide low-cost funding to assist Catholic organisations, including Catholic schools.
